The innovative new program in Biotechnology can be studied at three levels with promising careers for students trained at all levels. The first part in the 2+2+2 program is offered at GJCTC, a part-time career and technical high school. Upon completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate in Biotechnology/Medical Laboratory. A high school certificate may lead students to pursue careers in laboratories as technicians or assistants, or they can articulate high school credits towards an Associate or Bachelor degree at the partnering institutions. Part two of the 2+2+2 program is a two-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Biotechnology, which is offered by both PHCC and MAC. The 2+2+2 program can be completed at MAC, where students can apply their high school and associate degree credits towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology. The seamless transitions within the 2+2+2 program enable students to enter or exit at any level and pursue careers at all levels of experience.

Student Testimony
“I've always had a scientific mind and a sense of curiosity. One of my attributes is that I like to decipher the unknown. After discovering the Biotechnology program provided by GJCTC, I jumped at the chance to work with such a well-qualified instructor as Mrs. Servinsky. Thus far I have learned DNA, blood and medical applications of biotechnology.”
