Focusing on College and Career Success: An Education and Workforce Development SymposiumFebruary 27 and 28, 2007 Hershey Lodge and Convention CenterThe seventeenth annual symposium will begin at 12:30 p.m. on February 27, 2007 and will conclude at noon on February 28, 2008.
All students must be prepared for college and career success. The symposium will focus on how the education and workforce development systems can help students achieve that success. The symposium will highlight initiatives and programs such as Career Pathways, Project 720, High Schools That Work, Middle College, dual enrollment, integration of academic and career and technical education, integrated secondary and post secondary programs of study, apprenticeships, Career Education and Work Standards, College and Career Success Grants and 2+2+2 Workforce Leadership Programs. National, state and local leaders will present their views on how Pennsylvania can improve its education and workforce development system to help students achieve success. Symposium participants will be awarded up to eight hours of Act 48 credit. The agenda format and a tentative list of speakers are enclosed in the Registration Packet. Please note that information is tentative and there may be changes in the agenda prior to the Symposium.
