The Department of Community and Economic Development’s Technology Investment Office is hosting Collaboration 2008 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Harrisburg, on September 4-5, 2008.  With its unique dialogue format, this two day event will encourage small-group discussions providing attendees the opportunity to share best practices.  We also have exciting panelists and highly acclaimed national and international speakers lined up to discuss issues important for the growth and competitiveness of Pennsylvania.

During the networking reception, attendees will be able to view posters from the Technology Investment Office supported 2+2+2 Workforce Leadership Grant (WLG) program.  The 2+2+2 program creates integrated and seamless educational programs across secondary, two-year, and four-year post-secondary programs as a means to create a pipeline of highly-skilled technical workers. Since 2003, the program has created 24 projects, which cover 47 counties statewide. These collaborations have succeeded in gaining national recognition and leveraging additional funding at the federal, state, and local levels.
