Graduates

More than 1,009 students have graduated from the 2+2+2 WLG program into highly skilled positions.   Of these, 677 have graduated from high school, 332 graduated from post-secondary institutions.

The 222WLG Program boasts many successful graduates across the state.  Two student graduates of the East Stroudsburg University Computer Security Program, Michael Moynihan, III, President of Grad Techs, LLC, and Brian Pedone, Chief Technical Officer of Grad Techs, used the entrepreneurial skills learned through the program at ESU to secure grant dollars to fund their start-up company, Grad Techs (www.gradtechs.com).

Due to the shortage of highly skilled advanced manufacturing technicians, the high school graduates in the 2+2+2 programs are heavily recruited directly into industry by high wages.  The number of advanced manufacturing students who articulate into 2-year post secondary institutions is less than those in biotechnology and information technology.  By definition of the 2+2+2 Program, these students are counted as ‘successful’ since they have acquired advanced skills, meet labor needs, and are eligible to re-enter the program at the next institutional level at any time and continue their post-secondary education.
