Delaware County Community College Partners with Drexel Univ. to Offer Applied Engineering Degree PDF Print E-mail

August 9, 2007

A partnership between Delaware County Community College (DCCC) and Drexel University allows students to earn both an associate degree in applied science from DCCC and a bachelor of science in applied engineering technology from Drexel at the same time. The program was developed in response to a regional shortage of entry-level workers with the skills needed by local manufacturing companies. The initiative is the latest effort by DCCC to address the skills set needed in the workplace.

In addition to the Drexel Dual Enrollment Program, the Department of Applied Engineering Technology in the Division of Technical Education has signed articulation agreements with other areas four-year institutions, including Penn State University, Widener University and California University of Pennsylvania. These are fully articulated programs that require the student to achieve the associate degree first and then move on to the University of their choice.
